Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about robotics services in United Kingdom
How does robot leasing work in the UK?
We offer end-to-end robot leasing from GBP 1,800/month. Includes UKCA-compliant robot delivery, on-site installation, operator training, and UK-based support engineers. Deployment in 1–3 weeks. Lease terms from 1 month to 5 years. Made Smarter grant contributions can offset initial costs for eligible SMEs.
Is UKCA marking required for robots in the UK?
Yes — since January 2025, UKCA marking is mandatory for robots placed on the GB market. All robots in our UK catalog carry UKCA marking and comply with the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations. We provide full conformity documentation.
Can Made Smarter grants fund robot leasing?
Made Smarter grants (up to £20,000) can contribute towards initial robotics integration costs including technology assessments, proof-of-concept trials, and first deployment. We are a registered Made Smarter technology provider and assist with application processes.
Do you support NHS procurement processes?
Yes — we are registered on the NHS Supply Chain framework and understand NHS procurement timelines. Our medical/surgical robotics offerings meet NHS Digital clinical safety (DCB0129) and data protection standards.
How do post-Brexit import regulations affect robot deployment?
All robots imported to the UK clear through our bonded warehouse in Dartford. We handle HMRC customs declarations, UKCA certification (not CE for GB market), and Rules of Origin documentation. No additional burden on the client for import compliance.
